Dejero EnGo Live+ Transmitter Hire
A rock solid, camera mountable transmitter capable of full HD transmission
Dejero EnGo Live+ Transmitter
As with most things in life, there comes a time when you have to upgrade. That came recently when the reliable Dejero GoBox was declared end-of-life, and we moved up to the Dejero Live+ EnGo transmitter.
It was used for two weeks during the recent COP26 climate change conference in Glasgow, Scotland. Hired by Network Ten Australia show “The Project”, we transmitted live several mornings and fed back hours of vision throughout.
Being able to mount the device onto the camera is great for those run-and-gun situations, where transmitting on the go is essential.

What has changed between the EnGo and the GoBox?
The EnGo has many features that improve what GoBox offered. Best of all, this device is mountable to your camera via its pass-through v-lock battery terminals. It also features a far more intuitive touch screen, allowing greater control of the device whilst you’re transmitting.
It now also features an internal battery, meaning no more stopping transmission to change batteries. The internal battery will keep you on-air for around five minutes, more than enough time to raid the nearest battery charger.
Lastly, you can now send video in full HD in either 1080p50 or 60 to your receiving server, or to the internet. This alone makes it great as a full-redundancy transmitter for any live streaming event.
How does the Dejero EnGo transmitter work?
The EnGo by Dejero blends multiple internet connections to let you broadcast live from virtually anywhere worldwide. By utilising cellular networks, ethernet, wi-fi and portable satellite connections if you have them. In ideal conditions, the unit can achieve an ultra-low latency transmission of under one second from “glass-to-glass”. (Dejeros’ term, meaning from the glass of the transmitting lens to the output of the receiver)
It is capable of recording up to 40 hours of HD video to forward to your Dejero server (Or one we have access to) when network conditions are more ideal.
It has both HDMI and SDI inputs, and a 3.5mm jack for line-level IFB, which provides clear communications back to your talent if you’re connecting to your own Dejero receiver. If you need IFB gear for this, we can provide that as well as part of this kit.
This device comes with six SIM cards to increase redundancy and provide fast and dependable connectivity in testing network conditions. The SIMs will automatically find and use the strongest network and are not bound to a single provider.
Of course, if you have your own SIM cards already, you may use these inside the unit. Contact us to install them prior to your rental.
Do I need a Dejero receiver to use this?
If you don’t have your own Dejero server, no problem. We have access to a worldwide network via our Dejero receiver in Los Angeles. From there, we can feed your pictures to any broadcaster in the world via “The Switch”. They have a network of fibre, microwave and satellite uplink/downlink stations covering the globe. Please contact us if this is something you would require.
The EnGo is controllable via Dejeros’ cloud-based control system, allowing us, or Dejeros’ 24/7 international support team to assist if you have any problems.
How do you pay for the data used?
We charge a flat fee per day for the Dejero EnGo, as well as mobile data usage by the Gigabyte. Roughly, one gigabyte would roughly be between ten to fifteen minutes of HD+ video transmitted. As a result, this is still cheaper than transmitting via satellite, and far more portable!
Ethernet or WiFi network usage does not count towards the chargeable data used, so if you have your own hotspot or network, go nuts! Wifi or Ethernet connections requiring a login will need the help of Dejero Support to connect, a free service via the phone numbers on the device.
